JFB is a pioneer of turntablism, blending genres like Drum & Bass, Hip-hop, Jazz, and Funk. He began his journey in 1996, showcasing his skills on local pirate radio and soon after gaining residencies at some of the UK's most iconic venues, including Meltdown, Oceanrooms, and Movement Night.
A 3x winner of the DMC world championships and known for his work with top artists such as Evil Nine and Beardyman, JFB has built a reputation as one of the most skilled DJs and turntablists in the game. In 2003, he released his first EP on OneEyeRecords, followed by more releases on Hospital Records and Cookshop Records, further elevating his profile.
JFB's experience with beatjuggling and scratching has earned him international acclaim, playing at major festivals and clubs all over thhe world.

Mr Quest is a veteran in the UK dance music scene, bringing over 30 years of experience as a Jungle Drum & Bass DJ, producer, and educator. He crafts tailored workshops, radio shows, and DJ classes, providing invaluable mentorship to both kids and adults – including those with learning disabilities.
With a long history in the industry, Mr Quest has been a key figure in the UK’s Jungle scene, creating 14 studio albums, performing at massive festivals like Glastonbury, Boomtown, and the MTV Music Video Awards, and mentoring the next generation of talent. He is also the Founder & CEO of Thames Delta Radio and Thames Delta Recordings.
His mission is to give students the knowledge, confidence, and tools to make their mark in the music industry. Through his work with top artists like Ray Keith, Ragga Twins, and MC Navigator, Mr Quest continues to influence the future of Jungle and Drum & Bass music.

With over 36 years in the rave and electronic music scene, Grant has shaped the industry through his promotions company, Epidemik, and a legacy of successful events at iconic venues like Koko Camden, Ministry of Sound, and Fire & Lightbox Vauxhall.
Grant’s journey began from humble beginnings, working his way up in nightclubs before founding Epidemik Promotions. He’s worked with top brands such as Breakin Science, Raindance, and Zombiefest, and co-produced multi-arena festivals like HD Fest and New World Festival.
As a mentor, Grant brings unmatched expertise in event planning, promotion, and artist development. He’s responsible for giving early opportunities to artists like Eksman, Logan D, and Heist and continues to help youth talent grow.

DJ S.K.1 (Steve) has been a fixture in the electronic music scene since 1998, starting with vinyl Garage and quickly rising through London’s club scene. Over the years, Steve played at major venues like Promiscuous, Ministry of Sound, and Egg Club, alongside legends such as Ratpack and Slipmatt. He expanded his sound into Hard House, Trance, and Tech House, and gained a residency at Penelope Superclub in Barcelona, where he had the chance to warm up for Fatboy Slim.
His global journey took him to Benidorm and Peru, and he later ran his own restaurant and cocktail bar in Spain, hosting weekly DJ shows. As a mentor, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to students, offering guidance and hands-on experience based on his years in the game. Plaguealero

As one of the founding members of the iconic UK garage crew, Pay As U Go Cartel, MC Plaguealero has played a pivotal role in shaping the UK music scene, particularly the emergence of grime.
Pay As U Go Cartel, formed in 2000, was one of the first groups to break through with their unique blend of garage and grime. Their hit "Champagne Dance" in 2002 reached No.13 on the UK charts. The group’s influence didn’t stop there Pay As U Go paved the way for the rise of grime, inspiring the formation of Roll Deep, which would include legendary names like Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder, and Skepta.
Plaguealero’s journey began in the late 90s, where he helped shape the sound of pirate radio on Rinse FM. Known for his distinctive flow, Plague’s contributions to the scene continue to resonate, from his early days with The Ladies Hit Squad.
Now, as a mentor at DJ Archie School, Plaguealero brings decades of experience and knowledge to help guide the next generation of MCs and artists.
Boogieman

We’re excited to introduce MC Boogieman to our mentor team! A powerhouse in the D&B, Jungle, and Old Skool scenes, Boogieman has been a staple in the Midlands and East Anglia since 1991. Known for his vibrant performances, he’s played at renowned events like Flashback, Illusion, Formation, and Shambala, always connecting with the crowd and creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
In 2025, he’s continuing to shine, with upcoming projects on Nicky Blackmarket’s Kartoon Records and a new duo collaboration with DJ Ratty. Off the stage, Boogieman is a qualified football fitness coach and NLP practitioner, offering well-rounded mentorship to his students both in music and personal development.
Bushkin
We’re excited to welcome MC Bushkin to the DJ Archie School team! As a founding member of Heartless Crew, one of the most influential acts in UK Garage and grime, Bushkin has been a cornerstone of the scene for over two decades. With his extensive experience and unique perspective, he’s the perfect mentor to help students develop their performance skills and knowledge of the UK music scene.
From his early days in Heartless Crew, which pioneered the UK Garage sound, to launching BushBash Recordings, Bushkin has been at the forefront of shaping the culture. He’s not just a celebrated MC but also a storyteller and filmmaker, creating documentaries that explore the rich history of UK Garage and grime. His multifaceted career gives him invaluable insight into both the music and business sides of the industry.
Bushkin’s mentoring approach is grounded in authenticity, empowering students to find their own voice, refine their craft, and connect with their audience. Whether it’s lyric writing, live performance, or navigating the industry, he provides hands-on guidance to help students elevate their skills and break into the world of UK music.
Swifta
A dynamic star in the Drum and Bass scene, Swifta is known for his rapid delivery, high energy, and unique selection of catchy lyrics and flows.
Starting his journey in music at just 15, Swifta quickly became passionate about Jungle Drum & Bass and has made an impressive impact on the industry since. His dedication led him to win the coveted Best Breakthrough MC award at the National Drum and Bass Awards in 2020. Since then, he’s performed at some of the most prestigious events across the UK and around the world, including Events, Innovation, One Nation, Random Concept, and Breakin Science.
Swifta’s reach extends globally with performances in Australia, Barcelona, Ibiza, France, Belgium, and more. He’s also a regular on top Drum and Bass radio stations such as Kool London, Rough Tempo, and has made appearances on BBC 1Xtra and Kiss Fresh.
In addition to his live performances, Swifta has collaborated with heavyweights in the scene such as MC Shabba D, Stormin, Devilman, and Mr. Traumatik, with tracks and mixtapes available across all digital platforms.

With over five years in the industry, she has quickly become a prominent figure in UK Drum and Bass, making waves since 2017 with hit tracks like “Try More” featuring Mollie Collins and her anthem “Path.”
She’s performed at some of the biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Westfest, bringing her energetic performances to crowds worldwide. Her collaborations with artists such as Mr Traumatik and her recent work with Exile on her upcoming EP, “Doing It Differently”, are proof of her constant evolution as an artist.
In 2021, Y-ZER was awarded Best Female MC at the Drum and Bass Awards, and her growing catalog of work has earned her a loyal following. Now, she’s ready to bring her expertise to the DJ Archie School, where she will mentor the next generation of D&B artists, focusing on vocal performance, lyric writing, and live shows.
