At DJ Archie School, we offer engaging and dynamic group workshops designed to provide a supportive and creative environment for learning. Whether you’re new to DJing or looking to enhance your skills, our group classes are the perfect way to start your musical journey. All equipment is provided, and students are paired in small groups to ensure a focused and hands-on learning experience.
With a maximum of two students per deck, our group workshops offer personalized attention and plenty of time on the equipment, helping you develop your skills at your own pace. Each session is carefully structured to cover key elements of DJing, from technical skills to performance techniques. The goal is to build confidence and artistry, with the support of both our experienced mentors and fellow students.
Our mentors will guide students through the process, offering constructive feedback and advice to help students improve, refine, and develop their craft. These group classes are perfect for building the foundations of a DJ career and fostering a collaborative environment to inspire creativity and confidence.
DJ's
Our DJ workshops focus on the core fundamentals of mixing, from the very basics to advanced techniques. Students will be introduced to the powerful Rekordbox software on professional laptops, giving them the tools to organize and download music, allowing them to build their own library of tracks.
Once they’re familiar with the software, students will begin learning about the technical aspects of DJing, such as musical keys, beats per minute (BPM), and how different genres of music fit within various BPM ranges. With this foundation, students will be able to create their own mini mixes, exploring how to seamlessly blend tracks while learning the creative side of DJing.
The final step in each session is performing the mini mix to the group. This offers students an opportunity to showcase their progress and receive constructive criticism from our mentors. Our experienced instructors provide detailed feedback to help students fine-tune their mixes, focus on key areas for improvement, and enhance their stagecraft. The goal is for students to mix with confidence, musicality, and professionalism, preparing them for live performances and future gigs.
Lyrical
Our MC program is designed to nurture young artists who are passionate about creative writing and the art of performance. Whether students are looking to develop their freestyle abilities, improve their lyricism, or learn how to engage a crowd, our MC workshops provide a platform for creative expression and growth.
Throughout the program, students will focus on the craft of writing and performing lyrics. They’ll be introduced to various songwriting techniques, learning how to structure verses, hooks, and choruses while also exploring rhyme schemes, wordplay, and flow. We emphasize the importance of finding your own unique voice and creating lyrics that resonate with your audience.
As students progress, they will be given the opportunity to perform their written work to the group, receiving constructive feedback from mentors. Our experienced mentors provide personalized guidance, helping students refine their delivery, stage presence, and confidence on the mic. The focus is on empowering students to perform with authenticity and style, ensuring they develop the skills needed to excel in the world of lyrical performance.
